Spoiler Alert! Best Christmas Light Displays of 2015

During the holiday season, as we look for things to do with our families, here is a list of Christmas displays we gathered for you in the D.C. area. Enjoy!

  • National Christmas Tree and the Pathway of Peace – Where: The Ellipse near The White House – When: Through Jan. 1, 2016, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. – Cost: Free. There will be musical performances Wednesday, Dec. 9 through Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015. During the week, performances are between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, performances are between 1 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
  • ZooLights at the National Zoo – Where: The National Zoo – When: Nov. 27 – Jan. 2, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Excluding Dec. 24, 25, 31) – Cost: Free
  • Bull Run Festival of Lights – Where: Bull Run Regional Park – When: Nov. 18 – Jan. 3 – Monday – Thursday between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. – Friday – Sunday & holidays between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. – Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day – Cost: $15 per car (Monday – Thursday) $20 per car (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays) $25 per car (Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26)
  • Festival of Lights and Carols – Where: The Grounds of Old Town Square in Fairfax – When: Through Jan. 3, 2016 – Cost: Free
  • Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights – Where: Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Vienna, VA – When: Nov. 13 – Jan. 3 between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Weekdays: Ages 13 and Older: $12, Ages 3-12: $7, Under 2: Free – Weekends & Holidays: Add $1 per Ticket (Nov. 26 & 27, Dec. 24, 25, 31, Jan. 1) Make sure to buy your tickets online before attending
  • The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival – Where: Seneca Creek State Park – When: Nov. 27 – Dec. 31 (Closed Dec. 25) – Sunday – Thursday between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. – Friday & Saturday between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Monday – Thursday: $12 – Friday – Sunday: $15
  • Prince George’s County Festival of Lights – Where: Watkins Regional Park – 301 Watkins Park Dr Upper Marlboro, MD – When: Nov. 27 – Jan. 1 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. – Cost: $5 per car (cash only)
  • 38th Annual Festival of Lights – Where: D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 9900 Stoneybrook Dr Kensington, Maryland 20895 – When: Dec. 3 – Dec. 31 between Dusk and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Free. Artists and Groups will be performing every night between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Free Tickets for Concert are handed out at Visitors Center 60 minutes before on a first come, first served basis.
